Discrimination in nationality and statelessness laws

The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has published the Background note on discrimination in nationality and statelessness laws, which complements UNHCR's background note on gender discrimination in nationality laws and in which, in addition to a introduction on the subject as well as a conclusion Finally, aspects such as:

Grounds for discrimination

• Race and ethnicity
• Religion or belief
• Disability
• Age
• Sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, sexual characteristics (SOGIESC)
• Sex
