DGSJFP resolutions November and December 2024

The Ministry of Justice has just published the Resolutions of the General Directorate of Legal Security and Public Faith relating to the months of November and December 2024, which can be downloaded below, addressing aspects such as, among others:

BIRTH, RELIABILITY AND ADOPTION: late birth registration; registration of filiation

NAME AND SURNAME: surname regime for aliens who have been nationalized, surname regime for Spaniards

NATIONALITY: Acquisition of Spanish nationality: Acquisition of nationality of iure soli origin and by law 52/2007 from historical memory (Acquisition of Spanish nationality of origin-Annex I Law 52/2007); acquisition of nationality of origin by law 20/2022 on Democratic Memory; consolidation of Spanish nationality; acquisition of nationality by option (by patria p/otestad, Art. 20-1a CC; by son of Spanish of origin, Art. 20-1b CC); acquisition of Spanish nationality by residence: dual nationality agreement with Guatemala; retention, loss, renunciation nationality; recovery nationality; territorial jurisdiction in nationality files; nationality files, scope of qualification (art. 27 LRC); minor nationality files - prior authorization and other peculiarities; expiry of the concession of Spanish nationality

MARRIAGE: registration religious marriage celebrated abroad; prior file for the celebration of civil marriage: Marriage Authorization; issue of certificate of matrimonial capacity

RECTIFICATION, CANCELLATION AND TRANSFER OF REGISTRATIONS: rectification of errors; cancellation of nacimie's registrationnto;

PROCEDURE AND OTHER ISSUES: appeal lodged out of time; expiration due to inactivity of the promoter Art. 354 CRR; other matters, actions in which there is a defect of inconsistency or the object has fallen
